Maria-Hélèna is a multidisciplinary artist and teacher. She completed her Master’s in Women’s Studies at the University of Ottawa in 2012 and her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Concordia University in Montreal in 2006. As a singer-songwriter she is interested in natural landscapes and environments and is currently recording her first album of original compositions. Her current work as a visual artist explores abstract compositions using natural materials and mixed media in a sculptural and textured vernacular. These unique pieces of art juxtapose aesthetics with her sensibility to nature as a seeker.
