Argenteuil is full of Scottish heritage and there is an opportunity to learn all about it.

André McNicoll of Brownsburg-Chatham is a direct descendant of the McNicoll’s from Scotland who settled on John Nairne’s seigneury on Murray Bay in about 1762. McNicoll is also an amateur historian who has studied Scottish history for many years. On May 5 in French and on May 19 in English. McNicoll will be giving presentations on Scottish history from the Roman Empire to the settlements in Argenteuil. The presentations will take place at the historic St. Mungo’s Church, located at 661 Route des Outaouais (Route 344) in Cushing.

Admission is free, but donations to the St. Mungo’s Restoration Fund will be accepted. Tax receipts are available for donations of $20 and more.
