The Vankleek Hill Fiddle & Dance Association is celebrating its 25th anniversary at its 25th annual competition on April 20, 2024 at Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute.

The doors open at 9 am and the competitions, which feature square dance teams from across the region and Québec, begin at 10:30 am and continue until 4:30 pm. Music will be provided by Glenn Silverson and Sharon McOuat.

The event, which began in 1997 as part of Vankleek Hill’s centennial and the 200th anniversary of the arrival of the town’s first settler, originally included fiddle competitions and step-dancing, but over the years, square dancing became the focus.

Admission to the event is $10 per person. Children 12 and under are admitted for free. Accessible by elevator.
