Support local long-term care, and local history at the same time!
Maxville Manor and the Glengarry Pioneer Museum are co-hosting Trivia Night on November 8, 2024, at the Metcalfe Centre in Maxville.
Maxville Manor is working to finalize plans to build a state-of-the-art long-term care home that will help meet the growing needs of our aging community. The building plan is underway for this estimated $68 million redevelopment project. Maxville Manor is working to fundraise $11 million to move the project forward and get shovels in the ground in 2024.
Partnering with the Glengarry Pioneer Museum, funds raised from this event will contribute to ongoing costs, upkeep of the buildings, and allow the museum to continue to host events, offer programs, and provide historic and educational information through its extensive collection of artifacts and curated exhibits. The museum has existed for 62 years and cannot continue to care for this area’s unique history without continued community support.
Trivia Night participants are helping to support two charities who count on the support of community members, businesses, and groups to succeed. Their help will allow them to continue to offer services that support our community by bringing jobs, visitors, families, services, culture, history, and economic support to the area.
Monetary donations are welcome and more specifically, they are looking for donations in the following areas:
• Silent Auction
o Pies, baked goods, canned goods etc.
o Specialty gifts, service offerings, gift cards, crafts (quilt, hand-made décor etc.)
• Chili for Charity
o Donate a crock pot of chili, baked goods, or buns available for purchase at the event
The Glengarry Pioneer Museum and Maxville Manor are looking forward to the event and thank area residents and businesses for considering to support the event.
