The annual Dan McKay Golf Tournament was held at the Glengarry Golf and Country Club in Alexandria on September 6 and again demonstrated the power of community support. It raised $23,000 this year in the fight against ovarian cancer.
In addition to supporting the fundraiser, Scotiabank’s Alexandria and Vankleek Hill branches partnered this year to make a further contribution to the community. Together, the branches donated an additional $3,000 to the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH) Foundation, helping support local healthcare services and programs.
Now in its 14th year, the tournament has generated an impressive $275,000 in support of cancer research and related initiatives. This year’s proceeds will be directed to DovEE gene ovarian cancer research, helping advance efforts toward earlier detection and improved treatment options for ovarian cancer.
The event continues to honour the legacy of Dan McKay while bringing together community members, local businesses, volunteers, and donors in support of a meaningful cause.
Organizers expressed their gratitude to everyone who contributed to this year’s success.
