As of Wednesday, January 20, there were 32 active cases of COVID-19 among residents of Argenteuil, which was a decrease from 39 active cases on January 19, according to the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority.  There had been 428 cumulative cases of COVID-19 in Argenteuil as of Wednesday.  Across the entire Laurentides region of Québec, there were 813 active cases of COVID-19 as of January 19, which was a decrease from 839 cases on January 18.

The number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Argenteuil had increased to 13 on Wednesday from 12 on Tuesday.

As of January 19, COVID-19 cases were present at the Résidence Médaillion d’or Lachute, and at the CHSLD Argenteuil long-term care facility in Lachute.

Québec began a four-week curfew intended to reduce the spread of COVID-19 on the night of Saturday, January 9.  The curfew is in effect from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly until February 8.  All citizens are to remain at home during that time, unless for specific medical, employment, or emergency reasons.

According to the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ), there were 18,431 active cases of COVID-19 across Québec as of Tuesday, January 19.  The number of active cases had increased by 1,502 from January 18 to January 19.  There were 247,236 cumulative cases and 219,592 resolved cases across Québec as of January 19.

There were 1,467 COVID-19 patients in hospital across Québec as of January 19, and 216 of those patients were in intensive care.

There had been 9,208 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 across Québec as of January 19.
