House destroyed by fire in La Nation

Fire totally destroyed a house on Concession Road 8 (McCrimmon Road) in La Nation on the night of February 11.

A total of 50 firefighters from three stations in La Nation and three stations in North Glengarry were dispatched to the scene at 10:30 p.m.

It took firefighters approximately one hour to get the fire under control but damage to the house from before they arrived was extensive and caused a total loss of the building.

The owners of the house were not home at the time and there were no injuries.

Fire crews stayed at the scene until 7a.m. on Wednesday morning to ensure safety.
