The City of Lachute is advising its residents to be vigilant when it comes to snow which may be accumulating on the roofs of their homes and sheds.
The city’s assistant fire safety director, André Lamarche said that the accumulation of snowfall, coupled with mild temperatures, can create a heavy snowload on roofs which could be too much for some structures. He said it is important to be vigilant and remove snow from residential and commercial roofs as required.
The city is advising residents to be vigilant cautious.
