Pension du Bonheur residents celebrate at their week-long winter carnival

Pension du Bonheur in Alfred recently held its ninth annual week-long winter carnival for the residents. The event began on February 11 with the crowning of a King and Queen and every day there were different activities such as wood cutting, hammering a nail into a board, volleyball and musical ball, etc. There were guessing games, a pyjama day and dressing in red and white for Valentine’s Day. On Friday afternoon there was a parade in the village with residents on a wagon. Mario Villeneuve participated with one of the village fire trucks. On Saturday afternoon, prizes were presented to the winner of each activity and the carnival ended with a special supper and music which lasted well into the evening.

The Pension du Bonheur would like to thank the following sponsors for their generosity: Knights of Columbus, Alfred; Carriere & Poirier Equipment; Valu-mart; Pont Masson; Precise Pharmacy; Pharma Choix, Alfred; Chardo Restaurant; Markor Jewellers; Scrap en Masse.

Pension du Bonheur and Lorraine Foucault, Facility Manager would like to thank the employees who lent a hand, Mr. Mayer for knocking on doors for sponsorships, Mr. and Mrs. Peladeau from Cedar Shade Camping for the use of their wagon and last but certainly not least all of the residents for participating and making this carnival a great success.
