Pension du Bonheur in Alfred recently held its ninth annual week-long winter carnival for the residents. The event began on February 11 with the crowning of a King and Queen and every day there were different activities such as wood cutting, hammering a nail into a board, volleyball and musical ball, etc. There were guessing games, a pyjama day and dressing in red and white for Valentine’s Day. On Friday afternoon there was a parade in the village with residents on a wagon. Mario Villeneuve participated with one of the village fire trucks.
