Saturday evening, December 7, was a time for festive fun in L’Orignal.
Residents of the village celebrated with the lighting of the big spruce tree near the intersection of King Street and Bay Road. Santa Claus also arrived to greet residents, including 91-year-old Françoise Lussier. There was also musical entertainment by Chorale l’amité. The tree lighting celebration in L’Orignal is organized by Patrimoine L’Orignal-Longueuil Heritage and the L’Orignal firefighters.
And, in L’Orignal, Santa Claus will be writing back this Christmas. He is magic and will make sure everyone who leaves a letter in the special box located by the Christmas tree gets a letter back. Please make sure to have your letters to Santa in the box by Tuesday, December 17.
