Saturday, May 11 was Environment Day in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge.
The event at the municipal building in Calumet featured workshops on gardening, log inoculation, and mushroom cultivation in addition to information displays on waste reduction, water quality and products for ensuring a healthy habitat for bees and other insects. There was also a free tree giveaway.
The day was not all serious environmental topics though. There was entertainment featuring circus performers, and visitors could also learn how to juggle and swing on a trapeze. Vendors were also selling products at the site.
