The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) are working together to make sure citizens do not fall victim to fraud.
The Russell County Detachment of the OPP, with the assistance of RBC staff will deliver a fraud prevention presentation on Thursday, March 28 at Residence Lajoie in St-Albert. The presentation begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 12 p.m.
Ontarians are defrauded of hundreds of millions of dollars each year. With the consistent prevalence of scams and frauds, most Canadians, often seniors, are vulnerable to several types of fraudulent schemes. “Financial crimes by strangers” is one of the greatest areas of vulnerability.
The presentation in St-Albert will be in French.
