On Saturday, September 26, a Memorial Ceremony was held in honour of Frances Fraser, a Past President of the Vankleek Hill and District Nature Society (VKHDNS). The ceremony took place on the grounds of the ART House in Vankleek Hill and was attended by members of the VKHDNS and a couple of pipers from the Quigley Highlanders Pipes and Drums, who kindly agreed to play Amazing Grace.
The ceremony included the dedication of a plaque and red oak tree in memory of Fraser, who died in 2023.
Fraser died in 2024 and was a respected volunteer and citizen engaged in many local activities and organizations, which also included the Dalkeith Historical Society and the Quigley Highlanders Pipes and Drums.
