What does it take to become famous online? And what happens when chasing views, likes, and followers becomes an obsession?

The Champlain Library invites the community to a free screening of Anything for Fame on Thursday, October 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the Creating Centre (11 High St., Vankleek Hill).

This thought-provoking documentary follows a new generation of social media influencers as they navigate the highly competitive world of online fame. As the pressure to attract attention grows, the film explores the risks some creators are willing to take in hopes of going viral.

Presented in English with French subtitles, Anything for Fame offers a fascinating look at influencer culture and raises important questions about the cost of seeking recognition in the digital age.

Admission is free, although donations are welcome. Seating is limited, so advance registration is encouraged. To reserve a spot, call the library at 613-678-2216 or register online through the library’s website.

This screening is part of the library’s ongoing National Film Board movie series.
