The Prescott-Russell Residence Foundation is launching its Wheels of Hope campaign, a major raffle whose entire proceeds will go toward the purchase of an adapted vehicle for the residents of the Prescott-Russell Residence.

For many seniors with reduced mobility, a simple outing (a medical appointment, a community activity, a visit with a loved one) is a daily obstacle. The vehicle will provide safe and comfortable transportation for residents, including those who use wheelchairs. It will directly improve their mobility, independence and quality of life.

Tickets cost $20 each, and only 1,000 will be sold. The draw will take place on December 5 at 10 a.m. at the Prescott-Russell Residence, 900 Spence Avenue, Hawkesbury. Four prizes, generously donated by members of our local community, will be awarded: a $3,000 gift certificate from Asselin Indépendant, a $2,000 gift certificate from Ameublement Malaket, 50 – $20 gift certificates from Restaurant Déjà Vu (total value of $1,000), and a pair of tickets to the Montréal Canadiens vs. New Jersey Devils game on March 27, 2027 (value of $850). Tickets can be purchased by e-transfer to [email protected] or in person, cash only, at the three partner businesses. In-person sale dates are still to be confirmed. Watch our posts: upcoming dates and times will be announced soon.

Foundation President Denise Robitaille thanks the following generous donors: Asselin Independent, Ameublement Malaket, Restaurant Déjà Vu, and Mr. and Mrs. Yves Berthiaume.

Founded to help the Residence acquire the priority equipment needed for quality care, the Foundation has been improving the daily lives of seniors in Prescott-Russell for years.
