Vankleek Hill’s firefighters held an open house at the fire hall on Wednesday, October 7 as part of Fire Prevention Week.
The open house offered fun activities for young visitors and the opportunity to meet firefighters and learn about their work. The theme of Fire Prevention Week this year was all about the safe use and charging of lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries, which power many everyday devices, including cell phones, laptops, tablets, toys, power tools, e-bikes and scooters.
