Dear Editor,
Thank you for your coverage about Fred and Bonnie Cappuccino in last week’s edition of The Review.
Their life-long work to help the poorest among us has truly “…lit a lamp for the whole world to see”.
Few people can imagine raising 21 children. Fewer still, to create an organization such as Child Haven International – which defies the imagination of most world governments.
Of all they accomplished, what was most amazing about Fred and Bonnie was how absolutely ordinary their lives were and continue to be. When faced with things-as-they-are, they would look around, ask “If not now – when? If not me – who?” … and get on with the job. No fuss. No mess. Just get on with it.
If there are saints on this Earth, Fred and Bonnie are among them.
We extend deepest condolences to Bonnie on the death of her dear Fred. The work goes on.
Sincerely,
ian hepburn
