Twenty years ago, Beau’s Brewing Co. officially launched in Vankleek Hill, Ontario, turning a long-discussed idea between father-and-son duo Tim and Steve Beauchesne into what would become one of Canada’s most recognized craft breweries.
Founded on Canada Day in 2006, Beau’s was built on a passion for great beer and a belief in its power to bring people together. Two decades later, Beau’s has grown into one of Canada’s most recognized craft breweries while remaining firmly rooted in the community where it all began.
Over the past 20 years, Beau’s has grown from a small local brewery into a nationally recognized craft beer brand, earning more than 100 awards for brewing, package design and business practices. Throughout that growth, the brewery has remained deeply connected to Vankleek Hill and committed to supporting the communities where its beer is enjoyed.
“Twenty years ago, Beau’s started with a passion for great beer and a simple idea: that beer is best enjoyed together,” says Korina Tkachenko, Taproom Manager at Beau’s Brewing Co. “Over the years, that idea grew into much more than a brewery. It became a gathering place, a source of memorable experiences, and a part of people’s celebrations, traditions, and everyday moments.”
Since its earliest days, Beau’s has viewed beer as a social connector – something that sparks conversation, creates shared experiences and helps bring communities together. That belief has shaped everything from its brewing philosophy to its community involvement and customer relationships.
“We’ve heard countless stories of milestones, friendships, and memories that somehow included Beau’s along the way, and that’s something we’re incredibly grateful for. This milestone belongs to everyone who helped shape that journey”, added Tkachenko.
As Beau’s marks its 20th anniversary on July 1, 2026, the milestone serves as an opportunity to reflect on the people, partnerships and communities that have supported the brewery throughout its journey, while looking ahead to the next chapter.
Visitors to the Beau’s Taproom in Vankleek Hill can join the team in raising a glass to two decades of brewing, community and connection throughout the anniversary week.
