A current councillor has registered nomination forms to run for mayor in Casselman. Paul Groulx is currently listed as a candidate for the role. Incumbent Mayor Geneviève Lajoie has not yet indicated if she will seek another term.
As of Thursday, May 28, three candidates had been nominated for the three councillor seats in Casselman. The current candidates are Katy Morin, incumbent Councillor Sylvain Cléroux, and René Laflèche.
Municipal election day across Ontario is October 26.
