Smile Cookie Week officially launched on Monday, April 28 at the Alexandria and Dunvegan (Highland Road and Highway 417) Tim Hortons locations, with 100 per cent of proceeds supporting the Glengarry Memorial Hospital Foundation.
To celebrate the launch, Member of Parliament Eric Duncan, North Glengarry Mayor Jamie MacDonald, senior leadership members from Hôpital Glengarry Memorial Hospital: President and CEO Robert Alldred-Hughes, Chief Human Resources Officer Kayla MacGillivray, Vice President Clinical Services, Quality & Chief Nursing Executive Rachel Romany, and Executive Director of the HGMH Foundation Frédérique Théorêt gathered at Tim Hortons in Alexandria. Two friendly competitions were held: one to see who could decorate 12 Smile Cookies the fastest, and another to judge who created the prettiest cookies.
Proceeds from every Smile Cookie purchased in Alexandria and Dunvegan this week will help strengthen local healthcare initiatives and keep care close to home through the HGMH Foundation.
“Smile Cookie Week is such a fun and meaningful way for our community to rally together and support local healthcare,” said Théorêt. Every Smile Cookie is as unique as the people, charities, and communities they help. Pick up yours before May 4.
