Students at Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute (VCI) are planning to help the Valoris Christmas Elves Campaign.

On Friday, November 29 and Saturday, November 30, the LINK class at VCI is holding a drive-through collection of new toys, gift cards, and non-perishable food items for the campaign.

The collection point is the portable classroom on the southwest corner of the VCI grounds. Vehicles are to enter at the regular school entrance from Highway 34, drive around to the portable classroom where the items will be collected, and then exit the school property through the normal exit driveway beside the Hydro One yard.

The LINK collection for Valoris at VCI will take place from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm on November 29 and 30.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, November 10, the fifth edition of the Valoris Foundation’s Christmas Elves Challenge run took place in Prescott-Russell. The family-friendly event, held in Embrun, raised vital funds for the 33rd edition of the Valoris Christmas Elf Campaign, which supports children and adults across Prescott-Russell. This year’s event saw more than 200 participants and nearly 40 volunteers come together. The funds raised will ensure that hundreds of children wake up to a gift under the tree on Christmas morning.

Whether they’re runners or volunteers, everyone involved in the race becomes a Christmas elf, united by one common goal: to bring smiles and holiday magic to children. By inviting everyone to take part, the Valoris Foundation helps build a stronger, more inclusive community where every child can experience the joy of the season with a smile on their face.

“The Christmas Elves Campaign is at the heart of the Valoris Foundation’s mission, as it embodies our commitment to the children of Prescott-Russell. By bringing families together and strengthening community bonds, the Valoris Foundation aims to create a true spirit of solidarity so that every child can feel the joy of the holiday season,” Valoris Foundation Manager Jean Lalonde said.
