It’s still more than a month until Christmas, but organizations in area communities are already getting into the holiday shopping spirit with events.

The ladies of St. Jude’s Parish in Hawkesbury were busy serving tea and sandwiches at their annual Christmas Tea on Friday, November 8. The parish hall in the church basement was packed with people enjoying homemade lunches. There was amazing baking for sale to take home too.

From Friday, November 8 to Sunday, November 10, the Cercle des fermières de Chute-à-Blondeau held their annual Christmas Craft Show at the Chute-à-Blondeau Community Centre. Exhibitors from across Eastern Ontario and Québec were set up, offering a variety of crafts, artwork, and other gift items.

In Grenville, the Home and School Association at Grenville Elementary School hosted their always busy Christmas Fair on Saturday, November 9 at the village community centre. Along with various craftspeople and vendors, it included food and raffles for various items.
