Families in Lachute and the surrounding area now have access to 80 more subsidized childcare spaces.

Argenteuil Member of the Québec National Assembly Agnès Grondin announced the new spaces Académie préscolaire Lachute on Friday, November 8.

The 80 new subsidized spaces include 20 spaces reserved for infants. The facility on avenue Barron is new and began welcoming toddlers in August, 2024. Professional, qualified, experienced and dynamic educators offer services adapted to the needs of each child.

“The opening of this new daycare, the Académie préscolaire Lachute, is excellent news for families in Argenteuil. Thanks to this welcoming space, 80 children from our region will be able to begin their educational journey surrounded by a dedicated team, concerned about their well-being and development,” Grondin said.

Académie préscolaire Lachute owner Andreea Faur said the additional spaces will enhance the services the facility offers.

“We believe that this service will meet the needs of a part of the population that, until now, does not benefit from such a service,” Faur said.
