Hey, how ya doin’? I just heard that the year 2024 was on record as the warmest year ever recorded. As the people of this world get older and there’s getting to be more and more of us oldies, what we forget is that this planet that we live on and try to plunder at every turn, this planet, our planet, is getting older and our actions and our inactions are responsible.

We claim to be smarter now, I heard the UK were giving themselves a pat on the back for not burning coal anymore. Instead, they’re burning wood pellets in giant generators calling it green energy. Wood and fossil fuels are just as polluting, and as long as DRAX continues to clearcut in B.C., other parts of Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Brazil, U.S., and other countries haven’t learned a thing. Trees are life.

France has gone completely nuclear and admitting they don’t know what to do with the waste. We still don’t know what to do with it either, the United States still receives 45 per cent of their uranium from Russia, so much for sanctions.

Brazil’s rainforest should be gone in seven years, our polar ice, both North and South poles should be gone by 2050, hell that’s only 26 years away, our Great Lakes are completely infested with zebra mussels. The flooding will be more widespread, storms will be stronger and longer and more often. But we won’t change because we don’t care, mining will continue, dams will continue being built, farmers will farm, developers will continue to develop. We can’t ask any of these people to care and protect the land when the rest of us just don’t give a damn.

Really see the trees and protect them, please.
