Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH) is celebrating its 40th anniversary and wants to hear from the community about its services.

On May 27, 1984, the hospital began serving patients from its current facility on Ghislain Street, replacing three former locations throughout Hawkesbury. Previous hospitals in Hawkesbury included the Smith Clinic, Hopital Notre-Dame, and a women’s hospital which combined to form Hawkesbury General Hospital. In 2022, a major redevelopment project at the Ghislain Street facility was completed.

To ensure the hospital continues to meet patient needs and exceed their expectations, HGH has launched a survey designed to gather opinions and suggestions.

In addition to its main campus in Hawkesbury, HGH also operates two satellite centres in Casselman and Clarence-Rockland.
