The Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one individual as a result of a violent domestic incident in Hawkesbury.
On March 7, 2024, at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to an assault in progress.
As a result, a 36-year-old female from Hawkesbury was arrested and charged with:
- Assault with a weapon – spousal – 3 counts
- Fail to comply with probation -4 counts
The victim suffered minor injuries.
There will continue to be a police presence in the area as the investigation continues. There is no threat to public safety.
The accused was held in custody and scheduled to appear in court on March 7, 2024 at the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal.
