Additional sexual offence-related charges have been laid against a Rockland resident.

On March 5, members of the Russell County OPP Crime Unit, assisted by OPP Digital Forensics and Forensic Identification Services, executed a warrant in Ottawa and arrested an individual in relation to a historical sexual assault / child luring investigation.

Michael Woloschuk, age 44 from Rockland, was charged with:

  • Sexual Assault on a person under 16 years of age – three counts
  • Sexual Interference – three counts
  • Luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunication – two counts
  • Fail to Comply with a Release Order – one count

The accused was remanded in custody and a bail hearing has been scheduled March 12 by video from the Ottawa-Carlton Detention Centre.

This accused was previously charged with similar offences in August 2023. Those charges remain before the courts.
