To the Editor:

I am not quite sure how your brick and bouquet work but, I have a brick for the folks that are leaving their household garbage at the western entrance to the bicycle path on Dandy Road. Once this starts of course, it snowballs and it is fair game for anyone with garbage (tires, wood
etc). This trail is becoming more popular, and this inconsiderate use of the trail is thoughtless.

At the same time, a bouquet to Louise Sproule for her editorial on heritage designation. The fact that Champlain council doesn’t have time to consider this important element in our society goes to show how far we have strayed from significant historic properties in our townships.  One just has to drive through Perth to see how vibrant the downtown is. Furthermore, L’Orignal and developer Claude Brabant have shown that maintaining some historical buildings through integrating them with modern development has been successful.
