A choral performance with a seasonal theme is coming up in Lachute.

The Ensemble vocal Hémiole will present its Christmas concert on December 11 at 2 p.m.

The ensemble will be under the direction of Marjolaine Daneault, accompanied on the piano by Kerry Agnew, Julie Lambert on the clarinet and Émile Guay on percussion. The concert will take place at Margaret Rodger Memorial Presbyterian Church, located at 463 rue Principale in Lachute.

The women’s choir is made up of 17 singers from the Argenteuil region.

Using Christmas as an opportunity to wish each other peace, the performance highlights the birth of Christ, on a peaceful night through the lyrics “Night of peace”, “prince of peace.”

Titled Dona nobis pacem, the concert expresses a wish to live in peace, and will present a varied repertoire to inspire the audience.

Advance tickets are available for $20 from choir members, at Station 210 in Saint-André-d’Argenteuil, the l’École de danse Christiane Raymond in Lachute, or online at lepointdevente.com.

Tickets at the door are $25 at the door. Admission is free for children 12 and under.
