With the return of Vankleek Hill’s town-wide yard sale called Trash and Treasure on Saturday, June 4, 2022, a vintage and used jewellery sale will take place outside at 105 Main Street East in Vankleek Hill.

Organized by Grace Clermont, who works at Vankleek Cottage, the sale will feature donated jewellery items. All proceeds will be donated to the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital for the purchase of new mammography technology.

Clermont will be preparing and checking the jewellery as it comes in to prepare for the sale which will take place on the verandah at Vankleek Cottage.

If you have items you would like to donate, please bring your used or vintage jewellery to The Review offices at 76 Main Street East in Vankleek Hill weekdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. or bring donated jewellery items to Vankleek Cottage, located at 105 Main Street East in Vankleek Hill. The shop is open weekdays, Saturdays and Sunday afternoons from noon to 4 p.m.

Another community fundraiser is also taking place for the Vankleek Hill Music Festival, a not-for-profit organization which provides bursaries for music students in need, organizes concerts, master class workshops and the annual two-week Vankleek Hill Music and Arts Summer Camp.

The sale will likewise take place on Saturday, June 4, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will consist of all things musical: instruments, music books, sheet music, vinyl, cassettes, 8-tracks, CDs, music stands, etc. If you have items you would like to donate, music-related donations can be dropped off at The Review offices at 76 Main Street East in Vankleek Hill.

Trash and Treasure is a town-wide yard sale organized by the Vankleek Hill Business and Merchant Association. It takes place on Saturday, June 4 and local residents are encouraged to host yard sales on that day, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. In addition, the association rents space in local parking lots along Main Street for $25 per space (vendors must bring their own tables.)
