The CISSS) des Laurentides regional health authority is closing three of its COVID-19 vaccination facilities as of March 25, including the Argenteuil facility, located at the Carrefour d’Argenteuil mall in Lachute. The vaccination sites in Saint-Sauveur and Rivière-Rouge will also close.
The marked decrease in attendance at vaccination sites and in the number of appointments made over the past few weeks have led vaccination management to review where services are offered.
People who already have an appointment scheduled at the three sites after March 25, will be contacted personally in order to get a new appointment at a site near their place of residence.
Also, to ensure COVID-19 vaccination remains available locally, planning is underway for more mobile vaccination services. More information on mobile clinics will be available in the coming weeks. Walk-in vaccination remains available at all sites. The COVID-19 vaccination facilities in Blainville, Saint-Jérôme, Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts and Mont-Laurier will remain open after March 25.
An interval of eight weeks or more is recommended between the first and the second dose. To obtain a booster dose, an interval of three months or more is required after the last dose.
