The MRC d’Argenteuil is receiving $50,000 in funding from the Québec government to help integrate youth perspectives into local community development.

Argenteuil member of the legislature Agnès Grondin announced the funding on February 17. The MRC d’Argenteuil will use the funds to better make use of youth perspectives and enable young people to contribute to the deployment of projects rooted in their community.

The Ville de St-Colomban – which is not located within the MRC d’Argenteuil, but is part of the Argenteuil electoral district – is also receiving $40,000 for its youth laboratory project, which is designed to involve young people in local community development.

The funding from the Québec government is from its municipal youth strategies program, which aims to strengthen the action and local autonomy of young people.
