The Township of Alfred and Plantagenet is going ahead with a project to update the Wendover Infrastructure Master Plan.

On January 18, Municipal Engineer Jonathan Gendron told council two proposals were received to undertake the studies required to update the plan, which covers the management and future needs of the village’s storm and sanitary sewer systems.

The recommended bid from Stantec was for $61,457. The township had set aside $80,000 in its 2022 budget for the project.

Gendron told council the bid had been reviewed by him and two engineers from the Ontario Clean Water Agency.

Council approved the Stantec proposal. The recommendation was moved by Councillor Chantal Galipeau and seconded by Councillor Suzanne Lafrance.
