Make sure you lock your Toyota!

Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to four separate theft of motor vehicle complaints in Embrun and Casselman on January 5 and 6 and all of the vehicles were Toyotas.

The investigation revealed that sometime overnight January 5-6, after 8 p.m., two vehicles were stolen from two different residences (Percy Street and Lafleche Boulevard) in Casselman. On January 7-8, after 11:45 p.m., two other vehicles were stolen from two different residences (Centenaire Street and Fleurette Street) in Embrun.

The vehicles reported stolen included:

–       Grey 2017 Toyota Highlander bearing Ontario licence plate: CDAF 701

–       Silver 2017 Toyota Highlander bearing Ontario plate: BAEA 140

–       Grey 2021 Toyota Tacoma bearing Ontario plate: BK91543

–       Grey 2021 Toyota Tacoma bearing New York plate: HTD6813.

Russell County OPP would like to encourage members of the public to assist in this investigation by reviewing possible video footage or bringing forward any evidence in these thefts. The Russell OPP would like to remind citizens to take precautionary measures to make sure vehicles are properly secured.
