Not only is St-Isidore’s only grocery store closing on December 4, but the building where the store is located is also for sale.
On November 24, The Review reported that Valu-Mart store will close because Jacques and Lyne Roy, who own the franchise, are retiring. The Review has also found out that the store building at 4512 St-Catherine Street in St-Isidore, is for sale. However, the Roy’s do not own the building.
The 10,296 square-foot structure is listed with Sutton Group Ottawa Real Estate for $949,000. The listing recommends the building continue to be used as a grocery store. The current franchise lease with Valu-Mart, which is a division of Loblaws, expires on December 31.
