Police in Lachute took a suspect into custody for a series of alleged offences on November 27.

At around 11:45 p.m. on Saturday night, MRC d’Argenteuil Sûreté du Québec (SQ) officers intercepted a vehicle in front of a business on rue Principale in Lachute. When checking the vehicle’s registration, police found the owner of the vehicle, who was also the driver, had allegedly not complied with some conditions in connection with a probation order. The 38-year-old man from Saint-Jérôme was arrested and then taken to the SQ station. During the intervention, police also seized methamphetamine pills and documents with different identities. The suspect remained in custody for a videoconference court appearance related to a breach of probation and possession of narcotics.

An investigation continues into the origin of the documents seized by police.
