The CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority is changing the location of its COVID-19 vaccination site in Lachute.

The former vaccination clinic location at the Arena Kevin-Lowe/Pierre-Page on avenue Hamford closed on August 28. Effective Thursday, September 2, the new COVID-19 vaccination clinic will open at the Carrefour d’Argenteuil shopping centre, located at 505 avenue Bethany in Lachute.

“This change has proven to be necessary as the arena must now resume operations,” explained CISSS des Laurentides President and CEO Rosemonde Landry. “We therefore had to review the location of our vaccination site, which will now be located at the Carrefour d’Argenteuil.”

“This new location meets our needs well, since we wanted a place easily accessible, especially for people with reduced mobility.”

Landry said the CISSS has ensured a swift transition to the new address in order to maintain our uninterrupted services. The people affected by this move have no action to take. Appointments already scheduled will be honoured at the new site on the agreed date and time. In in some cases, people will be called to reschedule appointments.

“It is important that the population take note of this change of address in order to come to the right place to receive a vaccine, starting on September 2,” Landry noted.

To date, 67 per cent of people in the MRC d’Argenteuil are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

“We invite the population to make their second COVID-19 vaccination appointment. A minimum interval of four weeks between doses is required. Vaccination remains the best way to protect yourself against variants of the virus,” said Landry.
