On May 29, 2021, at 9:27 p.m., Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers conducting speed measuring enforcement on SDG roadways intercepted a vehicle for traveling at excessive speeds.
The vehicle was stopped for travelling 173km/h in an 80km/h zone on County Road 34 in North Glengarry. The male driver, age 22, of Lasalle, Quebec, was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).
The vehicle was impounded and their driver’s permit seized for seven days in accordance to policy.
