As of April 14, the Québec department of health and social services is allowing people under the age of 60 considered to be at very high risk of complications from COVID-19, as well as essential workers in high-risk environments to be vaccinated against COVID-19 in the Laurentides region, which includes the MRC d’Argenteuil.

People under 60 considered at very high risk of complications from COVID-19

Under the recommendation of an attending physician, vaccination of people under 60 years of age considered at very high risk of complications from COVID-19 will occur in specific circumstances, namely:

  • People who are currently hospitalized with a condition that puts them at risk of complications of COVID-19
  • Patients in hospital for renal dialysis, transplant recipients and to those currently being treated for cancer
  • People who must receive a dose of vaccine under the supervision of an allergist in a hospital environment.

Pharmacists will also be able to help reach people with these conditions who cannot be vaccinated in a hospital environment.
