There were 27 active cases of COVID-19 among residents of the MRC d’Argenteuil as of Monday, March 15, according to the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority.

The number of deaths due to COVID-19 across Argenteuil remained at 21 as of Monday.

There was a total of 388 active cases of COVID-19 across the Laurentides region of Québec as of March 15.

The CISSS des Laurentides reported that 39,744 residents of the region had been vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Monday.

Cases in schools and long-term care facilities

According to the Québec government, there were active cases of COVID-19 as of March 15 at Laurentian Elementary School in Lachute and at Polyvalente Lavigne in Lachute.

As of Monday, one individual at the CHSLD Argenteuil long-term care facility in Lachute had tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ), there were 6,881 active cases of COVID-19 across Québec as of Monday, March 15, which was an increase of 594 cases from March 14.

There were 553 COVID-19 patients in hospital across Québec as of Monday, and 96 of those patients were in intensive care.

There had been 10,550 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 across Québec as of March 15, which was an increase of 10 deaths from March 14.

Across Québec, 744,108 people had been vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Monday.

Restrictions

Under Québec’s regional system of COVID-19 emergency measures, the MRC d’Argenteuil, and the entire Laurentides region, is a red zone.

The curfew between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., the ban on gatherings in private homes and on private land, and compulsory working from home remain in effect.
