There was a slight increase in the number of active COVID-19 cases among residents of the MRC d’Argenteuil as of Monday, February 15 than there had been on Friday, February 12.

According to the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority, as of Monday, there were 17 active cases of COVID-19 across the MRC d’Argenteuil.  On Friday, there had been 14 active cases.

The number of deaths due to COVID-19 across Argenteuil remained at 20 as of February 15.

On Monday, there were a total of 416 active cases of COVID-19 across the Laurentides region of Québec.

Cases in schools and long-term care facilities

The Québec government reported active cases of COVID-19 at the following schools across the MRC d’Argenteuil as of February 15:

Séminaire du Sacré-Coeur in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge

École St-Philippe in Brownsburg-Chatham

Laurentian Regional High School in Lachute

Polyvalente Lavigne in Lachute

As of February 15, one case of COVID-19 was active at the CHSLD Argenteuil long-term care facility in Lachute.

Québec statistics

According to the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ), there were 9.855 active cases of COVID-19 across Québec as of Monday, February 15.  The number of active cases had increased by 728 from February 14 to February 15.

There were 804 COVID-19 patients in hospital across Québec as of February 15, and 136 of those patients were in intensive care.

There had been 10,229 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 across Québec as of February 15, which was an increase of 15 deaths from February 14.

Restrictions

Under Québec’s regional system of COVID-19 emergency measures, the MRC d’Argenteuil, and the entire Laurentides region, is a red zone.

The curfew between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., the ban on gatherings in private homes and on private land, and compulsory working from home remain in effect.
