Active cases of COVID-19 among residents of the MRC d’Argenteuil decreased from 70 on Friday, January 29 to 55 as of Monday, February 1, according to the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority. Across the entire Laurentides region of Québec, there were 760 active cases of COVID-19 as of February 1.
The number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Argenteuil had increased to 16 on Monday from 15 on the previous Friday.
Across the Laurentides region, as of February 1, 12,618 people had been vaccinated against COVID-19.

As of January 28, COVID-19 cases were present at the Résidence de Lachute, and at the CHSLD Argenteuil long-term care facility in Lachute.
The curfew across Québec intended to reduce the spread of COVID-19 continues from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly until February 8. All citizens are to remain at home during that time, unless for specific medical, employment, or emergency reasons.
According to the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ), there were 13,564 active cases of COVID-19 across Québec as of Monday, February 1. The number of active cases had increased by 890 from January 31 to February 1.
There were 1,144 COVID-19 patients in hospital across Québec as of February 1, and 183 of those patients were in intensive care.
There had been 9,826 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 across Québec as of February 1, which was an increase of 32 deaths from January 31.
