Bella Hettle moved to Vankleek Hill in 2013 from Montréal. She said that she was attracted to the town after driving through it on the way to Riceville.
“I’ll never live in the city again,” she said.
“There’s nothing I would change,” Hettle added about living in the community.
Hettle said that she loves the Champlain Township Public Library and how helpful it has been for her since she moved to town.
She also appreciated the generosity of the community. She noted how someone even helped pay for books she needed when she was studying to complete her high school diploma.
