As of Friday, December 11, there were 13 active cases of COVID-19 among residents of the MRC d’Argenteuil, according to the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority.  There had been 11 active cases on December 8.  As of December 11, there had been 285 cumulative cases of COVID-19 in Argenteuil.

The COVID-19 pandemic had resulted in 11 deaths in Argenteuil, and 343 deaths across the Laurentides, as of December 11, according to the CISSS des Laurentides.

Schools and long-term care

As of December 10, an unspecified number of COVID-19 cases were listed by the Québec government at Polyvalente Lavigne and Laurentian Regional High School in Lachute.

No cases were listed at long-term care facilities or retirement residences across the MRC d`Argenteuil as of December 10.

The MRC d’Argenteuil remained as an orange zone under Québec`s regional system of COVID-19 measures as of Friday and will continue to remain an orange zone as of Monday, December 14 when the neighbouring MRC des Pays d’en Haut becomes a red zone.

There were 15,941 active cases of COVID-19 across Québec as of Thursday, December 10, according to the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ).  There were 160,023 cumulative cases and 136,646 resolved cases as of Thursday.

There were 871 COVID-19 patients in hospital across Québec as of December 10, and 123 of those patients were in intensive care.

There had been 7,435 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 across Québec as of December 10.
