As of Tuesday, December 8, there were 11 active cases of COVID-19 among residents of the MRC d’Argenteuil, according to the CISSS des Laurentides regional health authority.  There had been nine active cases on December 4.  As of December 8, there had been 281 cumulative cases of COVID-19 in Argenteuil.

There were 459 active cases of COVID-19 in the Laurentides region of Québec as of December 8.

The COVID-19 pandemic had resulted in 11 deaths in Argenteuil, and 341 deaths across the Laurentides, as of December 8, according to the CISSS des Laurentides.

Schools and long-term care

As of December 8, an unspecified number of COVID-19 cases were listed by the Québec government at Polyvalente Lavigne in Lachute.

No cases were listed at long-term care facilities or retirement residences across the MRC d`Argenteuil as of December 8.

The MRC d’Argenteuil remained as an orange zone under Québec`s regional system of COVID-19 measures, as of December 8, even though it has a low number of active cases.  Argenteuil is surrounded by orange and red zones with higher numbers of cases.
