Some streets and sidewalks will be under construction during June 2020. Some projects have specific work dates attached to them, while some do not.
MAIN STREET EAST, VANKLEEK HILL
The Public Works Department of the Township of Champlain says that sections of the sidewalks along Main Street East will be under construction starting in June 2020. The existing sidewalks will be removed and new concrete sidewalks will be installed. The township says it will ensure that everyone has access to their residences and businesses, but notes that there is the possibility of minor interruptions. It will endeavour to keep these to a minimum, it says.

JOHN STREET, L’ORIGNAL
On Tuesday, June 2 and Wednesday June 3, 2020 from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., the road will be open to local traffic only.
The cross culvert is being replaced and the entire cross section of the road will be dug up around this location. Access up to and including Civic #138 will be via Country Road 17. All other properties will have access via Longueuil Street and King Street. During this period, there may be traffic delays and other inconveniences but the township says it will try to keep these to a minimum.
STE-ANNE ROAD
On Thursday, June 4, 2020, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., the road will be open to local traffic only. The cross culvert is being replaced and the entire cross section of the road will be dug up around this location. Access up to and including Civic #2165 will be via Charbonneau Road and Sandy Hill. All other properties will have access via County Road 17.
KING STREET and BAY ROAD
The Public Works Department of the Township of Champlain says that sections of the sidewalks along King Street and Bay Road will be under construction starting in June 2020. The existing sidewalks in the selected sections will be removed and new concrete sidewalks will be installed.
