A third, confirmed case of COVID-19 was announced by the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU) on Sunday afternoon.
The individual is in their 30s and from Prescott-Russell, has no history of recent travel, and works at the Ottawa Hospital. The EOHU is still investigating to trace the contacts the person had.
The individual has returned home and is in self-isolation. Their immediate family is also in self-isolation.
Due to the expected increase of cases, the EOHU will no longer issue press releases for each specific new case of COVID-19 in its territory. Instead, it will be listing the cases on its website: www.eohu.ca/coronavirus .
