On October 7, 2019 at approximately 6:06 p.m., members of the SDG Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a home invasion on George Street in Alexandria.
The investigation has determined that three individuals broke into the residence and assaulted the one adult victim with a weapon. The suspects fled the home in a vehicle.
Officers responding to the call located the vehicle a short distance away with the two suspects inside. The third involved accused is still outstanding.
The victim suffered minor injuries and did not attend hospital.
A 35-year-old North Glengarry man was arrested and is charged with:
– Assault with weapon
– Break and enter
– Mischief
A 57-year-old North Glengarry resident was arrested and is charged with:
– Assault with weapon
– Break and enter
– Mischief
Both accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on November 6, 2019.
