Local 2019 DIRT racing season is now in the books

Cornwall Motor Speedway wrapped up its 50th season on Sunday September 15th with the remake features from September 1 of the Canadian Nationals 125 event which has been postponed due to the weather. In the 358 Modified class, 28 cars were battling for the feature win. Starting from the first row beside pole sitter Brianna Ladouceur, Chris Raabe of Alexandria had his best performance of the year at Cornwall Motor Speedway as he stay among the front runners during the entire race. As Raabe was second, a caution flag came out, regrouping everyone side by side. This was the opportunity that the the driver of the #01 MSC machine was waiting for.

“I didn’t think that I could get Tim Fuller (the race leader) on the restart” to declare Chris Raabe to The Review, “but we did!”  Raabe had to repeat a second perfect race restart with only 4 laps to go and he did to win his first race of the season at Cornwall Motor Speedway. Raabe won the 2019 track championship at Mohawk International Speedway (N-Y).

The other September 15 feature winners at Cornwall Motor Speedway: #0 Shane Pecore (Sportsman), #47 Dave “The Bulldog” Bissonnette (Pro-Stock) and Mike Gaucher in the #3 Rich Welding Mini-Stock machine.
