Child injured by fence in Russell

A childwas injured on Friday afternoon (July 26) after an incident at the Russell fairgrounds.

According to Russell County OPP Constable Melissa Bouchard, a fence fell on the child early in the afternoon. Police, paramedics, and firefighters responded, and the child was taken to hospital in Ottawa and treated for non life-threatening injuries.
